DIY: Quiet Book

How to make a quiet book

I made this seasonal quiet book for my 2 year old to take to church. What a blessing this book has been! Keeps her busy and most of all, quiet.
I am not the best at cutting out letters and shapes, unlike my sister Megan who you can basically call Megan Scissor Hands. To make this I drew out some plans, cut out a bunch of felt shapes, and hot glued them onto felt sheets. Take a look.

Spring
Match flower petal colors and practice buttoning.

Spring
Raindrops are stored in the pocket cloud

Once it rains, the grass grows

Summer
Practice numbers by matching the numbers on the fish with the numbers in the pond.

Summer
Pick apples from the tree and place them in the wagon or in the bucket.

Fall
Practice dexterity by zipping and unzipping the bag and decorating the tree with fall colors.

Fall
Open the Velcro door and find candy to fill up your pumpkin bucket. Decorate your pumpkin with shapes.

Winter
Build a snowman just like this one. Parts are behind him.

Unhook snowman to get snowman parts tucked behind him.

Create a matching snowman.

Winter
Pull shapes out of the Christmas present and decorate the tree with them.

Hope this can maybe help give you ideas on how to make your own quiet books for your kiddos. Have fun!
