The Incredible PF Flyers Kids Shoe and Five Must Read Books for the First Day of School

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of PF Flyers for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

It's the final countdown.  There are only a few days until first grade starts for these two best friend cousins.  We all know how important the first day of school outfit is, and the girls have had their clothes picked out for weeks and even tried them on for good measure.  Along with the perfect outfit, it is essential to have the perfect pair of shoes.
The kids shoes that we decided to style their darling outfits with were the PF Flyers.  These amazing shoes were actually showcased in the movie the Sandlot, which gives us all the feels.  In fact, PF Flyers has quite the impressive history.  They certainly have helped many run faster and jump higher through the decades.  From creating the first child shoe in 1944, to protecting our military men in the 1950's, to selling 14 million pairs with the help of legendary all-star celtics player Bob Cousy in 1958, to walking the runway in 2014, this brand is impressive to say the least.  Today they offer a variety of stylish and comfortable lifestyle shoes for everyone to enjoy.

These shoes are the icing on the cake to any outfit.  Paired with a fancy dress, or even with jeans, they really are the perfect back to school shoe.
These shoes are the perfect thing to help these girls play and work and read and learn longer in comfort and style.

They girls really wanted to show off their white PF. Flyers, but these aren't the only color to choose from. From red, to black to blue, they have a variety to choose from.  There are high tops and low tops too.  There truly is a shoe for anyone and everyone.

When these girls lace up these shoes, there is nothing that can stop them.

But just in case, along with a brand new back to school outfit, Steph and I have come up with an essential list of five books, perfect to get your littles excited and ready to leave with confidence and kindness.

1. Stand Tall Molly Lou Melon - This book is all about loving who you are, no matter how different from others you may be.  It teaches children to embrace their differences, and love themselves.
2. We’re All Wonders - This little book is based off of the critically acclaimed book Wonder, a book I love dearly.  This is a fabulous book that teaches children to have courage, and to be kinder than is necessary.  A must read for all.
3. Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes - This book is all about being positive and looking on the bright side.  “No matter what you step in, keep walking along and singing your song….”
4.My New Friend is So Fun! - This darling book, by Mo Willems, is the perfect book to help teach the kiddos how to make new friends.  Who doesn’t love a book by Mo Willems?!  He is by far one of our favorite children’s author.
5. The Kissing Hand - This sweet story tells a tail of a young raccoon leaving home for the first time without his mommy.  Mother raccoon gives a special gift that will remind him how loved he is even when he is away.  It is a perfect book for the littles in your life who might be a little worried about leaving home and going back to school.

Happy first day of school to you and your littles too!
