DIY: Secret Ingredient In Chocolate Chip Cookies

12:58 PM

Yup, I think I have found my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe! I know you might be saying, "those aren't normal looking chocolate chip cookies; those are brown!" Well, that's the secret ingredient showing through! It's instant pudding packages. And if you really don't want brown or really chocolaty chocolate chip cookies, it can easily be changed by adding a vanilla pudding package rather than a chocolate one. Here is the recipe. I usually cut it in half because it makes a ton of cookies!

Chocolaty Chocolate Chip Cookies

4 1/2 C flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 C butter, softened
1 1/2 C packed brown sugar
1/2 C white sugar
2 (3.4 oz) pkg instant vanilla pudding mix (or chocolate)
4 eggs
2 TBS vanilla extract
4 C chocolate chips

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Sift dry ingredients. Beat together butter, sugar, pudding, eggs, and vanilla. Blend in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Place on cookie sheets.

Bake and enjoy!!

  1. i've made the vanilla ones before...they are good. And they do well in high altitude (found that out in Idaho)

  3. These look yummy! Do you put the pudding mix in there dry or do you make it according to the package first? Thank you in advance!
