This is a super easy costume to make, even if you only have a day before Halloween to make it.  It can be made for a little person, or even a big person.

Here is my little person.  I can hardly stand how cute she looks.  Such a little sweetie!

Ok here is how I made the tail...

Keep wrapping and gluing.

Finally, attach it to some elastic the size of your waist or your little person's waist, and there you have it.  A tail that actually stays up and stays put.

  (I attached it with hot glue, and secured it with a little piece of felt.)

And now for the Ears.  These took me a little while to figure out.  The key is to not make them too heavy or too big.  Here is the magic combination for ears that will stay put even for the littlest of kitties.

Gather the bottom of the ear together and stitch or hot glue into place.  I stitched it for extra durability.

I put my little girl's hair into pig tails and simply clipped the ears on.

Easy as pie, and cute as can be!

Best Part, because they are not on a headband she won't be tempted to rip them off her head.  Wahoo, 10 points for mom!

And since you can't go walking around in black and white, you could add a couple more things to make this look better in person. I would do a gray sweatshirt with the patch work on the sleeve from the original cover and maybe write "cus she's dead, oh!" on the sweatshirt or something like that. See anything similar?  We did our front porches totally separate without even talking about what we were going to do.  Great minds think alike I guess.  We had to laugh when we discovered that we both made witches brooms and used black spray paint to transform sticks.

Steph cut out the bats from Martha Stewart's website, found here

She printed them on white card stock, cut them out and spray painted them black. Then she just punched a tiny hole in them with a pin and hung them with black thread.

She made her owls a nest from sticks she found in her backyard. She hot glued them in a pleasing arrangement and then lightly spray painted them black.

Meg made her husband save large tree branches from this past summer just for the Halloween occasion.  She spray painted the heck out of them black to create a haunted tree effect.

(Spray paint this bad boy.  She had two large branches that she painted, leaves and all.)
