DIY Wifey and Hubby T-Shirts for Wedding, Honeymoon, or Anniversary

Hey guys! I was so close to buying the adorable Wifey and Hubby shirts online, but once I saw the price tag, I thought, no.... I'll just make them instead. I saved so much money just DIY-ing this project! I bought plain gray t-shirts from Old Navy for $5, (they were 50% off - score!) and then I made my own DIY Fabric Paint and created my own stencil with freezer paper.

These shirts were perfect for our wedding anniversary! Everywhere we went, we got the sweetest compliments on our shirts. It made me pretty happy :).

Let's get started! If you have a Cricut machine, that would be amazing for this project. Since I don't, I used an exacto knife to make my stencil. Watch the movie at the bottom of this post for all the details on how to make a freezer paper stencil by hand, or click here for our stencil tutorial.

Once your stencil is made, iron the freezer paper to the shirt.

Use fabric paint to fill it in. I love to make my own DIY Fabric Paint because it saves me lots of money over time and you can use any acrylic paint, so your color options are endless. It also lasts forever - wash after wash after wash, without cracking or peeling. It's fantastic, you'll love it!

Watch our quick video tutorial below for complete instructions. I would love to see how your shirts turn out - tag us on Instagram so we can see!
