DIY: Butter/Almond Popcorn11:44 AM
We just got back from our trip to Idaho where my engineer hubby grew-up. We had a wonderful time with his family and every time we go, I try to learn something new from his mom. Among her many talents, she has a gift for baking and cooking some AMAZING food! Here is one of the treats she whipped up. I couldn't stop eating it!
2 2/3 C Sugar
2 tsp Vanilla
1 C corn syrup
Whole or Slivered Almonds
1 lb butter (not margarine)
2 large bowls popped corn
Boil sugar, corn syrup, and butter for 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and almonds. Pour over popcorn. Stir well. Store in and air tight container if you have any leftover.
