Saint George or BUST!

Every year, when the winter seems to be hanging on for dear life, our little family heads south.  For those that live in Northern Utah, you know that Saint George is the go to place for sun and fun.

I am excited to share our favorite spots to visit in Saint George, whenever the red rock calls.  Do you need tips on road tripping with kids?  Don't worry, I've got you covered there too!  Check out my post HERE, to see how we make the four hour drive with three littles, without loosing our minds.

We can't thank AutoSource enough for sponsoring this post.  We packed this beautiful Honda Pilot with all of our babies and luggage for the week, with room to spare.

Did you know that you can buy a Honda Pilot for up to 30% cheaper through AutoSource?

This amazing car has all the bells and whistles, while still being perfect for the whole family.

And now to share our favorite places to see and visit while in sunny Saint George.

The St. George Children’s Museum provides vibrant and engaging interactive activities that invite children and families to Discover, Imagine and Create!  It is a family favorite for sure.

Right outside of the children's museum is an amazing splash pad.

It's the perfect thing to cool off and get those last wiggles out before returning back to the hotel.

2.  Pioneer Park

Pioneer Park is a 52-acre park featuring Dixie Rock.  It is incredibly family friendly, with hikes for even the smallest hiker.  The views are stunning.  There is something new to discover around every turn.

3.  Red Hills Desert Garden

Right next to Pioneer Park you can find Red Hills Desert Garden.  It is perfect for a little stroll.  There are beautiful desert plants and flowers to enjoy.

$$$ - FREE

4.  Thunder Junction

Thunder Junction is an all abilities park that features a dinosaur theme.  It includes wheelchair accessibility playground equipment, a climbing wall, an “erupting” volcano, and splash pad.  It even has a cute little train that you can ride with your children around the perimeter of the park.

5.  The Orange Peel

Organic fresh fruit and juice smoothies can be found at the Orange Peel.
My hubby and I LOVE this place.  You have to try the Mango Mango, and their Acai bowls are the BOMB DOT COM!

$$$ - varies, but not very expensive at all

6.  Twisted Noodle

I am always trying to find delicious gluten free grub.  Look no further than the Twisted Noodle for yummy and healthy food for everyone.  The gluten free creamy pesto pasta is amazing!  My hubby and kiddos love the vegan no-bake cookies.  It is an absolute must for lunch or dinner.

$$$ - varies / "designed to feed on a budget"

7. Saint George Carousel

The Old-Fashioned Carousel in StGeorge Town Square is simply charming.  For just a dollar you can go for a ride.

8. Zion's National Park (Emerald Pools)

Zion's National Park is one of our family's favorite hiking destinations.  It is BREATHTAKINGLY beautiful.  Pictures don't do it justice.  Emerald Pools is a wonderful hike for young families.  Sometimes, when you reach the upper pools you can see and hear the cutest little frogs.  The children love playing in the soft sand.  It is simply amazing.

$$$ - $25 per family/ worth every penny.  We often get a year pass so we can visit parks all over Utah all year long.

9.  Las Lupitas Mexican Restaurant

This is our favorite place to eat after hiking all day in Zion's.  It has the most delicious Mexican food. I recommend the veggie fajitas!

10.  Thomas Judd's Store Co.

Judd's Store is an old-fashioned sweet shop offering ice cream, candy, and sodas in a vintage storefront.

11.  Glitter Mountain

Glitter Mountain also called The Old Gypsum Mine, or Sparkle Mountain, is about a 25 minute drive from St. George.   The mountain is more like a mound of dirt that is covered in pieces of gypsum that glitters when the sun is shining on it.  Searching for these shiny rocks was a dream come true for my 8 year old son.

 12.  Camping, kayaking and swimming at Sand Hollow

Sand Hollow has a beautiful campsite with gorgeous water to play in all day.

$$$ - $28 per campsite per night
